WhatsApp Sandbox
Use the Kapso WhatsApp Sandbox to test your agents in a real WhatsApp environment
The Kapso WhatsApp Sandbox provides a dedicated phone number allowing you to test your AI agents directly within WhatsApp without needing to configure your own WhatsApp Business number during development.
Workflow
- Create a Sandbox Session: Initiate a testing session using either the Kapso CLI or the web UI. This links your agent to the sandbox number for a limited time.
- Receive Activation Details: Upon session creation, you will receive an activation code and the sandbox WhatsApp number (often presented as a
wa.me
link). - Activate the Session: Send the provided activation code as a message to the sandbox WhatsApp number from the phone number you intend to test with.
- Test your Agent: Once activated, you can interact with your agent by sending messages to the sandbox number from your test phone number.
Creating a Sandbox Session
To test your agent in WhatsApp, you’ll need to create a sandbox session through the Kapso web application. The sandbox provides a temporary WhatsApp number for testing purposes.
When creating a session through the web UI, you’ll receive:
- A unique activation code
- The sandbox WhatsApp number (as a
wa.me
link) - Instructions for activating your test session

Sandbox sessions can also be managed through the Kapso web application.
